What's In? [Deaky-topics in this week]
- Brian's 'Deacy'
-
Brian's legendary guitar amp which made by our John (called 'Deacy-amp') is reborned as 'VOX Brian May Special' and available this spring. (see its detail in this page from VOX) This new amp is painted white, the original one is red, though.
- The fact about 'openes a studio in London'
-
According to some articles and books such as "As It Began", John opened a studio ('Milo Studio') in London with Henry Crallan who was a former keyboard player of Kevin Ayres band (and also one of Queen's roadies) in 1984, but now he's not involved in its business. I found the studio's website by chance (now it's called 'Miloco') and recognised Roger and John's name on the History page as customers. So I tried to ask Mr. Crallan who still has his name entered as owner, whether John really worked of him or not, and if he's a co-worker, when he quit. In spite of my sudden and rude e-mail, he was so kind to answer my question:
John never took an active role in the Studio, he didn't really have time. He had a lot of personal recording equipment and this was part of his
investment in the project. He stopped having any interest in the studio
after about 5 years.
Thank you for your reply, Mr. Crallan!
