No flowers for John

This question came from Mariajo (in the guestbook): I was watching the Magic Years and once again wondered about that part where Brian, Roger and John are on a Japanese Tv show,Roger and Brian collect flowers, but what about John? Can you explain please?

OK, I can explain that. The TV show prepared flowers of just two (maybe they were not informed that three of the band were going to come), so there's no flower for our poor John. Then John gestured "where's my flower??" when the M.C. apologized to John ("Sorry, there're just two!").
