ML (Mark Lawson, interviewer): The other complication you had was that John Deacon had retired. Did you, have you, ever tried to talk him out of it?
RT(Roger Taylor) : No. You don't try and talk John out of anything, I think, once he's made a decision, and I think after Freddie went, he really didn't want anything to do with the music business. He didn't wanna be in it and he didn't wanna be around a lot of people, I think. And he wrote us a very nice letter, saying he endorsed fully anything that Brian and myself should do, you know, and would we please continue the flow of cheques. (chuckling) So it's quite a good arrangement really.
